The Procurement Act 2023 introduces a single set of regulations for all public procurement within the UK, significantly changing how the public sector purchases goods, works, and services.
Currently, public procurement is governed by four different pieces of legislation: Public Contracts Regulations 2015, Utilities Contracts Regulations 2016, Concessions Contracts Regulations 2016, and Defence and Security Public Contracts Regulations 2011. These regulations were created pre-Brexit and designed to comply with EU standards rather than being tailored to the specific needs of the UK.

Training Course Credits must be used by 30 January 2026. These Credits can be used to book space(s) on the following online courses: An Introduction to Public Procurement and Bid Writing, Writing Compelling Bids, Advanced Bid Writing Skills, & Social Value in Bidding.
Consultancy Service Hours must be used by 30 January 2026. These hours allow customers to request bespoke bid writing and tender management support from Tenders Direct. The hours can be split and used when needed, with unspent hours retained until 30 January 2026. Hours can also be deducted from any Consultancy quotes offered by Tenders Direct, which exceed the number of Consultancy Service Hours held by the customer.
